 Our nursing department currently consists of six specially trained and educated oncology nurses with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Certified in oncology by the Oncology Nursing Society. Members of Oncology Nursing Society / Chicago Western Suburbs Chapter Oncology Nursing Society, the experience ranges from 4 years to 17 years in the field of oncology. Our nurses excel in the teaching and administration of chemotherapy and participate in the management of treatment side effects, as well as home care and hospice. We strive to provide care given in an atmosphere of kindness and special concern for each patient. Bimonthly, on this website, one of our nurses will be addressing topics of interest ranging from infection to understanding your blood counts or hair loss, just to name a few. We hope these topics are useful and informative. |
