Dr.
Sweet graduated from the University of Wisconsin and
received his medical degree from Marquette University in
1971, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor
society. He completed his post-graduate education in
Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology at the University
of Chicago where he subsequently served on the Medical
School Faculty. He has published nearly one hundred
scientific articles and book chapters. While at the
University of Chicago, he was named as an American Cancer
Society Fellow. Dr. Sweet is a Fellow of the American
College of Physicians in recognition of his published cancer
research and is board-certified in Internal Medicine,
Hematology and Oncology. He has been named a "Top Doctor"
by Chicago Magazine was awarded as a Patient's Choice
Physician, and was given the "Physician Leadership
Medallion" from Hinsdale Hospital. Dr. Sweet currently
serves as Director of
Hinsdale Hospital's Cancer Center.
