The time it takes to schedule follow-up tests and appointments with specialists only increases her anxiety. To smooth the road for women facing the possibility of breast cancer, the Adventist Cancer Network coordinates medical expertise in a dedicated Breast Care Center. At the Center, a woman can get advice from a team of experts with a clear explanation of her options. ![]() A specially trained nurse coordinates and streamlines the process (learn more about Patient Navigators). She schedules tests and expedites the results to a team of skilled, caring physicians who experts in the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. The medical director and other team members meet to discuss the diagnosis, explain treatment options and answer questions. The nurse continues to manage the woman's care plan and helps her access the Center's additional resources, including educatioal materials and emotional, psychological, and spiritual support. ![]() The Breast Care Center is set up to deliver definite benefits for women:
